Whether you’re an elite athlete, weekend runner, or someone returning to exercise after injury, sports podiatry helps you perform at your best while reducing the risk of injury.

Physical Examination

In the presence of pain or injury a thorough physical assessment is performed to help provide a clear diagnosis or advise on required imaging modalities to clarify.

Biomechanical Assessment

Comprehensive assessment of foot posture, gait, joint mobility, footwear, muscle strength, running technique, and lower limb function to identify injury causes and performance limitations.

History Assessment

We begin with a detailed patient history to understand your current concern, sporting activity, pain (if present), training load, footwear, goals and previous injuries.

Rehabilitation & Strength Programs

Insoles designed to alleviate pain, reduce injury risk, and enhance performance if indicated. This would involve a shared discussion and decision making, determining if custom orthotics or prefabricated (off the shelf) insoles would be required.

Orthotics

Targeted exercise programs focusing on strength, mobility, and injury prevention using state of the art accessible on site.

Footwear Advice

Expert guidance on sport-specific, runners or casual/dress footwear to support performance and reduce injury risk. Taking into account any individual biomechanical specifications, injury history and goals.
